BS One
BS_ONE is a sculptural wooden partition designed by Atelier Pierre Culot, in collaboration with a designer and a cabinetmaker. It is a contemporary reinterpretation of an iconic work by Pierre Culot (1938–2011), a major figure in Belgian ceramics and art.
In 1967, Pierre Culot created a sculptural wall in sandblasted concrete for the City Hall of Dordrecht in Belgium. This remarkable architectural piece, defined by its rhythm of solids and voids, its play of light, and its bold sculptural presence, served as the foundation for BS_ONE. Reimagined today in oak from central France, the piece preserves the proportions and spirit of the original while exploring the warmth and materiality of wood.
At once partition, bookshelf, and architectural element, BS_ONE structures space without constraining it, offering both functionality and poetry. It embodies a timeless sculptural identity, celebrating the intersection of art, design, and architecture, while honoring artisanal excellence.
