The atelier is not a place of commemoration, but of living memory. It carries forward Pierre Culot’s spirit, keeping his vision alive through every gesture of craft. Pierre often said that clay has a memory: every pressure, every release leaves a trace. The firing reveals it all, care, precision, or neglect. For us, each movement is simple and repetitive, yet never identical. The first firing, called the “biscuit,” sets the foundation; the glaze and second firing bring color and nuance.

Here, creation lies as much in guidance as in control. Pierre never separated the artist from the artisan, nor the ceramist from the sculptor. What mattered was the person and the love of their work. Even when making twenty plates, each requires the same attention, and none emerge alike. In this spirit, the atelier continues, where skill, respect, and individuality shape every piece.
